Joe Bater joined 4C on 27th September 2004 involved in the CTVR grant project being supervised by Ken Brown. His research interests lie in constraint solving and the use of AI techniques particularly in telecommunications problems. He previously was employed at Vodafone UK working in the 3G networks, and 3G devices teams. His PhD involved the formulation of non-binary constraints for frequency assignment.
