I have joined 4C in December 2010 as a postdoctoral researcher. I hold a B.Sc. from University of Bucharest, Romania and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Max-Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbruecken, Germany. For my Ph.D., I have focused on machine learning applied to text mining. I did a 1 year postdoc in Denmark, at the Bioinformatics Research Centre, Aarhus University, where I applied machine learning to analyse biological data. At 4C I am working with Prof. Barry O'Sullivan on improving the interaction between machine learning and constraint programming techniques. |
